Sometimes I just have to say, "What the fuck people??" What has happened to common sense? Why does our society either pass the blame or sue their asses?? What happened to human kindness and compassion? What are they thinking??!!!
Every time I watch TV, I see advertisements, "If you or a loved one took @%^#* and got some terrible side affect, or death, call so and so, and you may be allowed a compensation". Seems all everyone wants to do is sue someone and there is a lawyer out there panting and drooling standing by the phones!
This brings me to the commercials for drugs. Ask you Doctor for *@#^ today! Really???!!! Do they think we are complete idiots? If you listen to one of "those" commercials where maybe a quarter of the running time is what it could help, and the rest about all the side affects and possibility of death with one dose, you should run for the hills!! No one is their right mind should say, hey, I'm going to call my doctor in the morning! Of course, you might be entitled to some money!!!! And to that I say, look up class actions, and you will find that the only ones who really profit are the attorneys. Thats a fact Jack!
Passing the blame. Someone, who most likely had intent prior, (unless it was self defense, you don't hear hardly nothing about that) shoots someone, and terribly, at times many. I do not make light of the horrific things, and unthinkable acts, loss of life and loved ones. So don't be all hating on me. What I don't agree with is, instead of putting all the true blame on the individual who chose, with evil intent to commit such horrible crimes, they blame the gun. The gun can't pull the trigger. It can't aim itself on a target when in the hands of the perpetrator. So lets sue the gun maker. What?????!!! Well if thats alright in your book, then sue every car maker, every restaurant owner, and bartender!! Because everyone concentrates on the method, and not the mind of the person that yells out, "One more Sombrero!!!" "Last call, bring me 2!" Sue Ford, Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac!!!!! Of course that is completely idiotic!
Last and most certainly not least, the opioid epidemic. They reported by the way, that deaths due to opioids has declined? Of course, we are saving them with Narcam!!! But still, lets look at a little history in the subject of opioids. There was a time of compassion when a person who was living in pain, that quality of life was also considered. We all have seen the smiley to sad faces? I know of a factual case, where an elderly man was denied pain medication, and because his quality of life had turned to crap, he shot himself. He couldn't possibly bear another day of agony. He was a Veteran too. It seems that it went from one extreme to the other, passing all the inbetweens, they don't matter. If you are not on your last leg and breath, you ain't getting no pain medication, go home a take a fucking Tylenol. Another subject in this mess. Tylenol, acetaminophen, damages the liver and kidneys when taken in excess. Now we also know, so does ibuprofen!!! I was once told to take 4 advil or motrin, 4 times a day!!! That sounds healthy now doesn't it. (get that shit out of your head, I have had 13 surgeries, and walk in braces, haven't taken pain medication in over 15 years!) So now the big thing is to sue the big pharma who created a pain medication, without the damaging affects of the over the counter crap, because people became addicted, or abusive; I really would like to know who the hell ever thought, oh boy, lets snort that shit??!! What the Fuck People!!!
So here it is. Every situation, motive, what have you, was made with a conscious decision. It might be real stupid, ignorant and even unforgivable, but it was made by the individual who chose to do so. Fact! Stop blaming the wrong people, or company, or manufactor, which employs people, feeds their families. Stop torturing good people, who want to be able to live a life within reason, and in comfort. Stop passing the blame. Stop sueing everyone! Man up! Woman up!! Be accountable for your own actions. McDonalds didn't make you fat; don't go through the drive through. Make a better choice, and then own it!!
A very wise man, of who I had and still have even in his passing a great deal of respect, always said and lived by these words. "Do what you love, Speak your mind and back it up".
